TurkeyDay Success!!!

Thanksgiving 2009 was a huge hit!! I had a great Holiday. So much to be thankful for this year. MommaBear came in...it was grand! I'm obviously and always late posting, so without further adieu.

:) Started the Day Off Right :)

1 Pkg. Quaker Instant Oatmeal Plain
1/2 C. Libby's Pumpkin
1 T. Agave
1 T. Better'n PB
Shake-shake CINNAMON

This was the best way I could think of, when my eyes popped open, to start THANKSGIVING! It delivered and I got my pumpkin fill. I had some lunch at some point. It was nothing too festive or fantastic. Lean Pocket & Raisins as a snack. Got me through until it was time for dinner!

My THANKSGIVING

1 LightLife Smart Stuffer Chik'n Cordon Bleu
1 Sweet Potato w/ 1 T. Smart Balance Light w/ Flax & CINNAMON
1/2 C. Canned GBs
1 T. Ketchup

My dinner ROCKED. For dessert I had an unpictured, Banana Nut Vita Top. It was the best one I could think of to go with the day's theme. It might just be my favorite so far! So tasty!!!

I bet you are wondering what everyone ELSE had for Thanksgiving...you know, the ones who aren't Vegetarians and those that properly treated and indulged themselves. Well, as I didn't try any of this, I cannot say I enjoyed it, however I know it was good because I continuously put my nose up to each serving dish and pretended. Everyone around the table was stuffed and pleased, so I can only imagine the delight of my taste buds, had I partaken. I had some side motivation though - and we'll get to that in a moment.

Their THANKSGIVING

Ham
Deep Fried Turkey
Corn Casserole *OMG - REALLY?*
Honey Mustard
Gravy
Stuffing
Homemade Cranberry Sauce
GB Casserole
Mashed Taters
Yams
Hawaiian Rolls *My Fave-ugh*

My Pretty MommaBear & Aunt-Grandma Chris (the Chef) With All of the FOOD!

There's not enough blog to talk about the relation of Chris and I. She has been dubbed "Aunt-Grandma" and we'll leave it at that. Please note: For Chris's sake, she is neither my Aunt nor my Grandma....in blood relation, at least.

Anywhoo - Remember that "side motivation" I spoke about above? Did you all know Old Navy was open and having Gobblepallooza yesterday? Well, much to Mom's credit card dismay, it was! We can just say that Mom got her Christmas for the Cub OUT OF THE WAY! This is good because I realllly needed winter clothes and a jacket. I got tons of clothes! Like, 9 shirts, 3 pairs of jeans and a VERY SNAZZY jacket!! Soooo Happy!! I also go the cutest little slipper/shoe socks. They are made to look like a little bootie but a shoe. They have the sticky prints on the bottom so you don't go sliding and slipping around. And, that cute little strap over the top?! Ohhhh! I'm eatin' that up! FASHION, people! Warm, cozy, CUTE and CHEAP at $2.50 a pair!

That's ME in the PURPLE!

To share a few of the memories...

I hope you all were as blessed and thankful as I. I can't wait to go catch up on all of your blogs!! Have a great day, I'm off to work here in a bit.

Turkey Eve Eatz

This is going to be a VERY short recap of what was eaten, well, at least what was interesting that was eaten, yesterday.

Ran Out of Fage....

1 Breakstone's 4 Oz. 2% Milk Fat Small Curd Cottage Cheese
1 Pkg. Planter's Daybreak Trailmix
1 C. Frozen Mango w/ a Shake-shake of CINNAMON

For dinner, I had a fast meal! Afterall, MommaBear is in town and she's far more important than dinner! ;) I whipped up a quick pizza and ceremonious salad and called dinner DONE.

Best One I've Made Yet

1 Healthy Grain Flat Out
1/4 C. Hunt's Tomato Sauce Basil, Garlic & Oregano
1/4 C. Kraft Shredded FF Cheddar
1/4 C. Kraft Shredded FF Moz
Shake-shake Cayenne & Black Peppas

My dinner was yummy and FILLING - very important. Filling is always good on a day that you are having a hard time with keeping the distance between yourself and Taco Bell at a maximum.

Off to Thanksgiving - More later! Have a Great Day!!

Turkey Eve Eve

What a great night! I am happy to be home and happy to be posting tonight. I just had the best night at work. Things are great when they are great...let's just say that! It was a short shift as well. You can't beat a quick 7 p.m. - 11 p.m., four hour shift!

Anyway, I'm super excited about tomorrow. I live for the Holidays! Seriously. Starting in early October I get more and more giddy as the days go by. When Halloween rolls around, I've lost my sanity and am just my inner child, fully unleashed. Git It! Oh yea!! My Momma Bear is coming in, from Nashville, tomorrow!!! YAY!! Matt's getting in and meeting me at home when I get off. We are going to clean sweep the house and then go see Mom. This makes my heart smile.

Off to the great and interesting meals of the day!

Sidebar: I'm going to get in T-R-O-U-B-L-E for this...

Meals of Note for the Last Two Days

I hope you all are doing grand! I am only going to recap the most worthy meals from yesterday and today. They are of high regard though, that, I promise you! I've been super busy. Worked the longest shift of my life at el second job last night. I also did not have a very good shift. Actually, it was awful. I'm hoping to turn that all around tomorrow night. Positive thinking turns out positive results. I finally saw New Moon and enjoyed it. Matt liked the first one better. Anywhoo...on with the show.

Behold the Beauty of This Morning!

1 Honeycrisp Chopped & Micro'd for 1.5 Minutes
1 Pkg Plain Quaker Oatmeal
2 T. Better'n Peanut Butter
1 T. Organic Agave
4 Shake-shakes of CINNAMON

WOW! This was so filling and to be quite honest, a PARTY IN MY MOUTH! This has to be one of my MOST FAVORITE breakfasts I've ever eaten. I can't say enough about the Agave Nectar. I love it! It is a little pricey, but well worth it!! I was told under strict order that I "BETTER USE THAT!" I am putting it on everything. I can't wait to try some of Kath's pancakes with it!

Let's talk about yesterday...we'll get to breakfast in a second, but first...It was onward to lunch before work. I needed something that was going to fill me up and not let the taste buds down! I had no idea that what I was creating would be such a feast of amazement! Holy Smokes! It did it's job in both departments, I was so tickled with the tastiness and it held me over until about 8:30 p.m. As a reference, I consumed this GLORY somewhere in the 1 o'clock hour.

Plated Love. 'Nuff Said.

"But, wait!" You say, "Tell us what's on that GORGEOUS sandwich!" .....okay, okay.....

Special K MultiGrain Crackers
2 T. Cedar's Roasted Red Pepper Hommus
1 OroWheat MultiGrain Sandwich Thin
5 Slices Tofuky "Philly Steak" Style Deli Slices *UM, HELLO, McFly.....SOOOO GOOD!!!*
1 Slice Sargento Reduced Fat Pepper Jack
1 Tsp. Silver Spring Beer & Brat Mustard
1 T. Kraft Free Mayo
2 Shake-shakes Cayenne & Black Peppas

MAKE THIS SANDWICH KIDS - You'll Be So Pleased With Yourselves!!!!!!!!!!

So, I worked my shift. As I stated, I had dinner around 8:30 p.m. It was nothing fancy, although, I was highly impressed. Lean Cuisine makes a killer pizza! I had the Mushroom Pizza last night and I wasn't expecting it to be so tasty! It was. Nothing more to say, however.

Going in true backwards fashion, let's talk about yesterday's breakfast! It was wonderous and full of Wow. It was also filling. This is the most common theme, along with exciting my taste buds, that I'm looking for in breakfast these days. I hadn't opened my second can of Libby's yet, so I figured yesterday could be the day. I was happy I did. 'Twas also the first time I tried my new Sweetheart, Agave Nectar. MMmMmMMmmmMmMMm

She's No Looker....That Doesn't Change How I Feel About Her Though!

1 Pkg. Quaker Plain Oatmeal
1/2 C. Libby's Pure Pumpkin
2 T. Better'n Peanut Butter
1 T. Organic Agave
3 Shake-shakes CINNAMON

I'm off to catch up on last week's Grey's and enjoy some time with my sweetie! Hope you all have a great night.

GoodNight Moon.

Yesterday's Eatz?

Hello! Hello!

I hope you all had a fabulous Saturday! I worked this evening. Perhaps the title of my blog should be "Yesterday's Eatz" because I seem to post either after midnight, or after sleeping, making it REALLY the next day.

Today, I kinda sat around, did some laundry, had some yummy food...you know, the norm. I slept in a little bit and was starving when I woke. I was teetering back and forth on what to eat. I decided on the bowl of Love you see below.

And, I Pronounce Myself .... The Stir Fry Queen

You may be noticing that it is Saturday and you saw no post from me last night. I fell asleep at my computer, literally, computer in lap, sitting up in bed, hand on keyboard. I was in this position for roughly 2 hours. My hand was so numb when I woke up! Anyway, I was rather disoriented, so I thought it best not to blog in foreign sleep language and just proceeded on to bed.

I am starting yesterday's food at the end and working my way back. It was too darned awesome not too! If you have any apprehension about believing me, please refer to the title of this blog post. I had NO idea I could make a stir fry, on my own, out of thin air, with NO RECIPE!! I created this - me, myself, my hands, my brain ... I CREATED THIS ... AND IT WAS GOOD!

All Ingredients In...Ready For Cook Down

3 oz. Fresh Broc
3 oz. Fresh Snow Peas (BGF is *gasping* & *fainting* right now)
1/2 C. Cole Slaw Mix

1 T. Kikkoman Less Sodium Teriyaki

After dinner I had a WW Giant Mint Fudge Ice Cream Cone Sundae. She isn't nearly as pretty in photos as she tastes in your mouth! She's sorry.

YUUUUM!

Work Snack, 100 Calorie - Chocolate & Caramel Chex Mix

I forgot to get a picture of my lunch as I was zipping around to the bank and gas station while consuming lunch. But...

Here's The Wrapper!

I love Amy's products. They are simply, some of the best I've tried! If you haven't tried them, or are unfamiliar, they are a Vegetarian company. They offer both Vegan & Vegetarian options. I have had their bowls, meals, burritos, etc. They make tons of frozen items from breakfast to snack to dinner. AWESOME!

I needed to get something in my belly other than Fage for breakfast. So, instead of work, I went to a keg party and instead of breakfast...

I Had Beer.

Okay, I kid, I kid. No, I forgot my extra bowl to mix all breakfast ingredients into. That was sad. Not for long though - I then found said "keg cup". I get fancier every day, I tell ya!

Blurry Oatmeal Mess

1 Pkg Quaker Instant Oatmeal Plain
1 Honeycrisp Chopped *microwaved 1.5 minutes*
3-4 Shake-shakes of CINNAMON
1 Mini Box Market Pantry Raisins

Sorry again for the late post. I gotta get it together!! I'll see you all tonight after work!

Long Day, Tired Night

I'm so tired. I attended a lotion class for work tonight. For the second job, that is. I was notified of this lotion class at 8 a.m. this morning. Kinda foiled evening plans of TV watchin' and tree decoratin'. ((Sorry Babe))

This will be a short, short story tonight. Please don't stone me for the food you are about to witness either. It was a rather uneventful foodie type day.

Tired of this theme yet? I think I'll switch her up tomorrow.

Fage Total 0%
Yogi Granola Crisps
1/4 Fresh Blues

Top View! I made sure not to mix in all the Yogis this time!

Prepare to NOT be amazed. I do love this though!

1 Lean Cuisine Macaroni & Cheese

New Favorite Things Hump Day!

Hi! How was everyone's day? I hope it was half as great as mine. Most days, I hope for a great day, which would be, on any normal day, HALF as great as the day I've had!

I tried Chobs for the first time! This was thanks to my BGF (Best Good Friend), who loves me and always buys in bulk at Costco. It was a big hit. I would really love to mix it up with some fresh fruit and freeze it! Wow, that'd be greatness!

Red, Blue & Greek All Over

Chobs Blue
1 1/2 C. Fresh Strawberries
Yogi Granola Crisps

Once I mixed those bad boys up in the yogurt, I realized you couldn't see them anymore. FAIL. I came home tonight and took a pic of the bag and the little, round discs of PURE JOY!!!!!!!!!!

LUNCHASM

Flat Out Healthy Grain Wrap
2 Tbsp. Cedar's Roasted Red Pepper Hommus
Black & Cayenne Peppa
Laughing Cow, Light Original Swiss Wedge
1 C. Fresh spinach
4 Slices Smart Deli Ham
1 Perfect Honeycrisp *disclaimer* We are nearing the end of our season and that makes me sad. I can tell because the texture and flavor of the apple is turning a bit. Love 'em till the last one is ate up!

Snack TIME!!!

SNACKASM

30 Pieces Market Pantry (see, I'm not fancy) Semi-Sweet Choc Chips
100 Calorie Pack Ocean Spray Craisins

This is what we call ... "Lazy n' Tasty"

Salad w/ the "norm" and Kraft Free Roka Blue Cheese (OHSOGOOD!!)
3 Eggwhites
1 Boca Original Vegan Burger
1/4 C Kraft FF Shredded Cheddar
1/4 Green Bell
1/4 C. Mush
1/2 C. Salsa

Scrumptious, Fast, Filling. That's how I like my dinner, folks.

I forgot to tell you yesterday. HOW COULD I FORGET TO TELL YOU YESTERDAY?!?!?!?!?!?! BGF and I ordered a VitaTop multipack to share. I'm stoked, kids, stoked!!! Thanks, HungryGirl.

VITALICIOUS!!

Then the day got super fancy and way better than I could have ever imagined. Especially since there was no particular occasion, well, not yet anyway. I was lead through a "goose chase" of surprise and wonder all day. Then, what shows up to see me?

What's In There???

THESE!!!!!!

We capped off a great night by doing all of our Holiday Decor shopping!! We got our tree, all the ornaments, house decor, etc. We are going to decorate the day after TurkeyNess. So EXCITED! We had so much fun picking out our stuff. I can't wait to share photos with you all!

What? No mention of CINNAMON in today's feature? Strange. I know.

Tuesday Tuesday

Good Evening!

Good Evening to my new followers, old friends, fellow foodies, etc. Today was glorious because I got off work an hour early and didn't have to work tonight. ROCK! Seriously - yesterday was a total drain! Sorry again for the no post-a-roo and trust me when I tell ya, there was nothing exciting about yesterday's eatz. Maybe that's because I knew I wasn't accountable. Healthy? Yes. Interesting or picturesque? No. But...LET'S TALK ABOUT TUESDAY!

How can Tuesday not be great when it's started off like THIS? I seriously can't get enough of my Fage! Love Love Love.

Isn't She Purdy?
Fage Total 0%
Planter's Daybreak Trail Mix (not the Energy selection)
1/4 C. Fresh Blues

I worked today and had a luncheon to attend. I, of course, declined the Blue Mesa food that was catered in. No thanks. It sure did smell good, but I had a powerful lunch of taste bud pleasing proportions awaitin'.

Cute Spoon Included To Eat My...

...Tasty Soup With!

Now that's a deal! They included a spoon too? Not only a spoon, a perfect, little wonton spoon! What? I know...unheard of! And, do you spy that ADORABLE Mickey Mouse inspired snack? How could you not have a great Tuesday or a great time eating lunch with that? Fresh baby carrots, celery, baby pretzels (I HAVE A HEART ON FOR PRETZELS IN ANY FORM) and a cheese sauce to dip it all in. They also give instructions on how to build "fun" stuff with all the pieces in Mickey's head. I refrained. Lunch was a serious affair for me today. I know...I know...I'm a total Fun FAIL. At a whopping 110 calories for that filling snack, I'll be pickin' up some 'mo of those suckers!

Pre-DinnerTime Snack-a-licious
1 Bag, Orville 100 Calorie, Mini-Bags, Butter Flavor
1 Shake-shake of CINNAMON (don't kid...you saw that coming)
1 Shake-shake of Black Pepper
1 Shake-shake of Cayenne Pepper

My lips were on fire, my tongue was doing the happy dance and my belly was satisfied. I didn't capture dinner tonight. A few reasons, first, it was NON original and totally heated up from the freezer. Lean Pockets, Three Cheese & Broccoli. YUMMY though. On the side, a salad with my fave asian dressing. I must have programmed the micro for about 2 million minutes instead of 2 min, 15 sec ... as was the plan. Let's just say...it was crunchy and a bit dry. Did it still taste good and do the trick? Yeppers!!!!

I'm going to turn in early tonight. I think I'm going to go plan at least breakfast and lunch for tomorrow first. Then it's off to watch my "Guilty Pleasure" shows. That phrase takes the place of actually telling you, because if I told you what shows, well, I'd be embarrassed and you don't want that.

Goodnight Moon!

Another Late Night For The Cub

*Shout Out to my "Moms"* Hey Momma! Thanks for following! ;) You made my little FoodBlog day.

Anywhootie - Let's move on. This is going to be a short and sweet story of my Sunday Funday. I have a lot of pics to show, but not so many stories to tell. Here's the sitch...I was at work all day, went to the grocery with Matt and then home for dinner. That's about all she wrote, well, more like, all she did. Hehehe.

Spoonfuls with Silk Plain Light, CINNAMON and 1...count it...ONE Strawberry
Pleasant

Work Snack, Love these things!

No photo of working lunch. Was starved and could only grab bites here and there. It was a Kashi, Mayan Harvest Bake - Lip Smackin' Good!

Dinner was fabulous. Now dinner, dinner I DO have the energy to expand on.

What's in that beautiful, green "bun"?

SURRISE!!!!!!

Two leaves, Romaine aka "the bun"
1 Tbsp Kraft Free Mayo
1 Tbsp Heinz Ketch (half on, half on side)
1 Tsp Silver Springs Beer & Brat Mustard
1 Boca Original Vegan Burger
Sargento Reduced Fat Pepper Jack Slice
Alexia Sweet Potato Fries (with pepper and what? CINNAMON) - C'mon class...that was an easy one if you've been reading the blog at all.
Salad is just a mix of spinach, coleslaw mix, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms and Kraft Light Asian Toasted Sesame (Had that yet? Go get some! It's awesomeness in a bottle!)

An awful pic of me devouring my creation. *Not Naked* ...See micro strap on my right shoulder...

Dessert ROCKED it! This was a little something I threw together the other night. It was devilishly good so I recreated for Matt and myself tonight.

1/2 C. Strawberries
WW Chocolate Fudge Brownie Cup
CINNAMON sprinkled on top - No clue what possessed me to try this the other night, um, maybe my recent obsession with it? Hrmmmm...

This gets an "A+" for effort, originality, execution and deliverance!

Warning! There may not be a post tomorrow because of two shifts, totaling a 15 hour day. If there are any super goodies, I will recap on Tuesday! Goodnight Moon!
